Working as a Graduate Numerical Optimisation Engineer at Smallspark, your work will primarily revolve around working with our moore.Ai development team on developing and implementing newer, higher-performance, smarter optimization technologies into our moore.Ai software.

moore.Ai is a cutting edge geometric design optimisation technology, developed by Smallspark Space Systems, to accelerate the rate at which new engineering projects proceed, reducing preliminary design times with the goal of automating the design of complex, multi-variable subsystems with multi-physics based problems and complex constraints.


Requirements

Degree: A BSc or higher in Mathematics or a related field.


  • An understanding of common, industry-standard, optimization techniques
  • Good knowledge of nonlinear optimisation and ability to undertake a statistical analysis with whatever data is available to draw relevant conclusions.
  • Experience in producing and presenting literature reviews
  • Programming capability, preferably in Python, but MatLab, R, and C are also acceptable


Key computing skills in:

  • Microsoft Office
  • GSuite
  • OpenFOAM
  • Linux/UNIX based Operating Systems
