Our client is a leading Mechanical and Electrical Design and Build Engineering firm with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. With a turnover of approximately £17m, they offer a full range of services including Facilities Management and Energy Lifecycle Modelling and are known for delivering high-quality, ethical and sustainable solutions to clients across multiple industries.
 
Our client is currently seeking a talented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dartford. In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and gain valuable experience in the industry while contributing to the company's commitment to sustainable practices.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to start their career in Quantity Surveying.
 
Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
• Cost planning and estimating
• Managing subcontractors and suppliers
• Assisting in the preparation of interim valuations
• Cost control and budget management
• Measuring, valuation and agreement of variations
• Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with construction industry software and practices
