Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Plymouth / Exeter

Sphere Solutions is recruiting a Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a long-standing contractor to work across the Plymouth area. You will join a team of commercial professionals to assist with the commercial running of projects across the region. The projects will be varied including refurbishment works of a variety of projects including; listed / heritage, defence, commercial, and education.

This role would be suitable for graduates with either an HNC/Degree in construction or finance/economics looking for their first role in Construction/Surveying. Equally, candidates with some commercial experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:

• Assist the commercial team with their daily tasks and duties.
• Assisting with subcontract procurement
• Assist with valuations and commercial administration / raising PO number.
• Subcontractor payment management
• Site Measurements and valuations

Suitable candidates will possess the following:

• HND / Degree qualification or equivalent profession industry standard
• Full training and support is on offer
• Excellent IT skills, in particular Excel are essential,
• Full driving license

Offering ongoing works local to Plymouth with an option of a company vehicle or car allowance.
