Success Recruit are currently working with a Project Management Consultancy based in Central Essex, currently looking to recruit an Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their friendly and ambitious team.

Our client is looking for someone with passion for the construction industry, and who is keen to learn & work on their own personal development through continuous studies. Previous QS experience is not essential as full training will be provided but a head for figures is essential. If you enjoy working with numbers, haver an analytical mindset or may have started your career within accounting and now want to consider a change of career path this opportunity could be for you!

The successful Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be expected to:

• Have achieved a finance / construction-related degree or working towards one
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Be able to take responsibility for own actions and work well in a team
• Hold a driving license as travel will be required

The successful Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be rewarded with:

Job Specification

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be to assist with all aspects of Quantity Surveying, gaining hands-on experience with qualified professionals. This is a brilliant opportunity for a graduate to apply their theory-based skills to the real world on live construction projects.

Job Specifics:

• Assisting with estimating and cost planning – including carrying out take offs and measuring tasks
• Assisting with tender document preparation and reporting
• Assisting with contract administrator and cost control
• Attending site and assisting with interim valuations and final accounts
• Assisting with cost reporting / procurement reports

Starting Salary: up to £30k+ (DOE + Benefits)
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
