Graduate Chemical Engineer

SALARY - £27,000- £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – West Berkshire (Hybrid/Remote working is available)
My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Graduate Chemical Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.
The Graduate Chemical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Be BEng/MEng/PhD qualified in a Chemical discipline
- 0-3 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Design skills with the ability to design new processes
- Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processes
- Strong Project Management skills
- Understands 2D and 3D CAD
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
- Solving problems and improving engineering processes
- Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans
- Liaising with other departments to manage such projects
- Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met
- Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment
- Design equipment layouts
- Maintaining technical documentation as required
- Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry
- Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
