Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of schools within the Newport area, who require a number of Graduate Cover Supervisors to work in their schools across KS3 & KS4. Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring and supervising classes across all subjects, working alongside other members of staff to provide a happy and safe learning environment for all pupils.

Cover Supervisor work provides a great platform for graduates - both with practical experience, and also knowledge to create attractive, engaging personal statements and applications!

We are seeking both full time and flexible staff to work in schools!

  • Pay: £100 - £120 daily pay
  • Hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm (Monday-Friday, TERM TIME only)
  • Working in Secondary Schools in Newport area
  • Graduates of all subjects encourgaed to apply!
  • Start date: ASAP

The role:

  • Supervising Secondary classes in the short term absence of the class teacher
  • Ensuring pupils are on task and continue to learn by keeping them on task with work that has been pre-planned for you
  • Managing the pupils behaviour in the classroom, in accordance with the school behaviour policy
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment, dealing with low level disruption, utilising TAs in class

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background - a degree in any subject!
  • DBS Check and EWC Registration (Teaching Personnel will help you apply for these if needed)
  • Be passionate and committed to working with children in education
