Graduate Civil Engineer

My client are looking for graduates with a flexible approach and an appetite to learn within an energetic engineering consultancy. You will be working in a collaborative environment and can apply your skills whilst working with a diverse range of clients and projects. You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team and will experience a challenging and fulfilling working environment. They will support your development through enrolment onto an accredited professional membership institution, which will enable you to progress to chartered or incorporated status.

The Role:
 
·Working within multi-discipline project teams helping us deliver effective and
professional services
·Providing technical input to projects including organising and managing site-based
investigations, analysing data and managing project tasks
·Interacting with civil engineers who will provide guidance and review as you:
oCollate data and documentation to be used on projects
oUndertake civil engineering design calculations
oDevelop design solutions using various 2D and 3D design tools, engineering
osketches and drawings
oPrepare civil engineering design deliverables including specifications,
ocalculations, drawings and schedules
oProvide support and input to the preparation of technical notes and reports
oat various project stages including feasibility, preliminary/planning, detailed
odesign and construction
oParticipate in preparing development documents and drawings
oProvide input to resolving issues during construction
oProvide input to design risk assessments
oSupporting civil engineers and directors, in client (internal or external)
odiscussions during design team meetings, progress updates or project
oreviews
oUtilising quality assurance systems to help ensure the efficient execution of a project
Your Experience:
 
·Educated to a Degree level in Civil Engineering.
·Professional membership or working towards professional membership with a
recognised engineering institution.
·Excellent report writing, communication and numerical skills required.
·A positive and proactive approach
·A good technical understanding of civil engineering principles
·A willingness to visit operational and construction sites as required Some knowledge of design tools and software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Drainage
is desirable but not essential.
