Graduate Flood Risk Engineer
Location: Bristol
Salary: 25k - 30k + yearly bonus and other benefits
Emtech are working with a Civil Engineering Consultancy who are looking for a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer to join their team in Bristol. As a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer you could come from a Civil Engineering, Environmental or similar degree background. You will support the team at preplanning stage of development projects for a wide range of projects including residential, education, leisure, commercial etc.
Your core role to start with will be working alongside a Senior Engineer to assist in the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and flood assessment work for development proposals. You will also have the opportunity to go out on site visits as part of a varied role.
Candidates are being considered from University Graduates up to 12 months relevant experience.
Beneficial experience for the role:
- 0 - 12 months experience in flood risk, drainage or infrastructure design. If you have studied this at University this would be beneficial
- Able to use AutoCAD
- Any experience in report writing and the preparation of engineering reports
- Knowledge of flood risk would be beneficial
- Keen to learn and develop as a Flood Risk Engineer working within an experienced team of 15 people
- Engineering or environmental related degree qualification
