About the role

As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You will cover classes across the full range of secondary school subjects, but don’t worry, you are not expected to be a subject specialist as the lesson will always be planned in advance.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Maintain discipline and manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups as required.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Graduate Cover Supervisor- Training Provided you will:

• A degree or equivalent education.
• Live in the UK, Have the right to work in the UK and have a good standard of spoken and Written English.
• Have a warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Be willing to work in Mainstream secondary school settings in the capacity of a Cover Supervisor
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• A degree or equivalent education.
