£30,000 - £35,000/annum Bonus + Healthcare

Key Responsibilities

Manage customer and internal project’ s meeting their expectations and demands.

Support and be directly involved in entire projects within those Project’ s from concept to production. Including implementation of prototype builds, production tooling development, and costing exercises working with stake holders.

Bring together engineering budgets to present to key stakeholders, negotiate contracts and manage their expense and audits and time plans.

Interact with suppliers of manufacturing and engineering services, test bodies, patent attorneys.

Prepare reports, plans, and presentations for internal and external review.

Support APQP demands and liaise with the production quality team for PSW/PPAP sign off activities to meet customer requirements and targets.

Guide and support work being completed by external consultants contracted for projects.

Lead ad hoc meetings with wider group to present and give feedback and communication.

Ability to read complex engineering drawings & writing BOMs for complex assemblies and assist in sourcing materials and components.

Purchasing, Invoicing and project budgeting in the ERP system.

Support in tracking payments from key customers, Audits, tooling expenditure, engineering expenditure, gaining payment approvals.

Help achieve a total Quality ethos and Quality commitment to customers.

Support marketing with required information and continuous updates for promotional activities.

Person Specification

Proven record of engineering management & detailed working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices

Understanding of Process Control Techniques

Ability to influence and steer a team.

Rigorous attention to detail

Strong communicator and team player

Flexible and able to cope with multiple aspects of the automotive industry.

Used to autonomy.

UK and foreign travel will be expected.

Strong organizational and planning abilities

Ability to carry out financial analysis.

Use of Microsoft project

Use of Mountain Charts

Qualification

 

Relevant degree level qualification would be beneficial.
