Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Role and Responsibilities:
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. One-on-One Support: Providing personalized assistance to students, ensuring their individual needs are met, and helping them thrive.
  2. Collaboration: Working closely with teachers and other staff to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages the participation of all students.
  3. Resourceful Assistance: Assisting in the preparation and organization of learning materials and resources tailored to the unique needs of students with special educational needs.
  4. Emotional Support: Nurturing the social and emotional growth of students, fostering a positive and caring atmosphere where they can flourish.

Requirements:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in a relevant field (education, psychology, special education, etc.).
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of SEN education.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
