Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Major Apartment Scheme – Birmingham

Are you a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading contractor on a £100m+ apartment scheme in Birmingham, with two years left on the project and a strong pipeline of future work.

The Role:

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with an experienced commercial team, gaining hands-on experience in cost management, contract administration, and procurement. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills on a major multi-room residential project and build a long-term career in construction.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Assisting with cost reporting, valuations, and forecasting
✅ Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
✅ Helping to ensure compliance with JCT contracts (training provided)
✅ Working alongside the commercial team to drive project success
✅ Gaining exposure to various aspects of quantity surveying

Requirements:

✔ Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
✔ 1+ year of industry experience (including sandwich placements)
✔ Ideally some exposure to JCT contracts (not essential)
✔ Enthusiastic and eager to learn
✔ Strong communication and organisational skills
