GSL Education is excited to offer an opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a well-regarded secondary school in Newcastle. This is a fantastic stepping stone into the education sector—perfect for those considering a career in teaching or educational support.

As a Graduate TA, you will play a key role in supporting both teaching staff and students. Your work will help students build confidence, develop academic skills, and prepare for their next steps—whether that’s university, apprenticeships, or employment.

• ‍ Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to student needs

• Help students prepare for exams, assignments, and future pathways

• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

• Promote resilience, independence, and a love of learning

• A university degree in any subject

• ❤️ A passion for working in education and helping young learners

• ️ Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude

• An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps)

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
